Two shows very near and dear to my heart are taking place this weekend.
On Friday, May 5, I’m celebrating The Last Reign‘s post tour homecoming show at Mohawk Place. We just completed our first trip out, a 9 day run that took us from Cleveland, to Chicago, to Wyandotte (MI), to Pittsburgh, to Greensboro, to Richmond, to Philadelphia, to Westfield (MA) and then finally to Auburn, NY for an amazing finale. Every show was unique and special in its own way and on most nights, we made enough on door cuts and merch sales to avoid the sting of gas and toll costs. Not to mention, it was my first tour ever, so I’m that much more excited to celebrate our successful return after a most successful adventure. Also performing will be, Primal Scream Therapy (melodic thrash from Erie, PA), Narwhal Bloodbath (djent/metalcore from Smethport, PA), Arcadia (metalcore from Chicago) and Liber Ivonis (melodic death from Buffalo, featuring former members of Theatre Nocturne). Then, on Sunday, May 7, 10 of the best extreme metal bands from the Buffalo/Rochester area are coming together at Waiting Room in downtown Buffalo to celebrate the life of our fallen metal brother, Tony Lorenzo. Brian Butch Hulin has really stepped up to the plate, partnering with Tony’s mother, Caroline to give the metal scene something it desperately needs: an all day celebration of Tony’s life with friends and family. Check out the stellar lineup below:
Please attend at least one, or both of these shows to take part in this weekend long celebration of Buffalo metal. Most of the people who are reading this are probably playing in one of the performing bands, but if that’s you, please do your part and spread this info around to the masses! Thanks for reading!
